Job spec of Sourcing Scout Manager -Automotive - Vietnamese Speaking
Salary Up to 120,000 Baht plus company allowance and Excellent Bonus.
A leading global supplier of complex automotive systems currently seeks a sourcing specialist to identify new suppliers in the ASEAN region of Prominently working in Thailand & Vietnam however this could in the future include Cambodia, Myanmar, Philippines, Indonesia and Singapore. You will report directly to the senior purchasing manager and work closely with the global commodity purchasing team with suggestion in respect to potential opportunities for new and existing suppliers..
Requirements
· Thai Nationality or Vietnam with Vietnamese Speaker writing..
· Analysis of market situation to identify best in class suppliers.
· Analysis of supplier manufacturing costs.
· Working with global purchasing team to support low cost country sourcing process.
· Benchmark best cost, practices and identify material cost reduction opportunities.
· Conduct new supplier assessments.
· Lead supplier APQP kick-off meeting and supplier design reviews.
· Analysis of current and future sourcing requirements.
· Measure and report LCC advantage in various commodities.
Education and Background
· Degree preferably of Engineering or technology.
· Experience in purchasing procurement or a similar commercial role.
· Manufacturing / Production background.
· Automotive experience would be advanced
· Strong focus on team working.
· Ability to lead cross-functional work teams towards common purchasing goals.
· Strong soft skills (presentation, documentation, communication etc.)
· Negotiation skills.
· Thai or Vietnamese national based in Thailand with Vietnamese/English language skills.
