OK, on automotive Film, I will attach the specification.
As you can see, it contains more than 30 types.
As you have expressed interest in AIR75SRHPR (Windshield) film, I guess that you need a film that is very light in color.
AIR75SRHPR has VLT : 73% that’s means it is very transparent.
VLR : 9% this film is not reflective, the glass itself is 8%.
UV : Ultra-violet light rejection 99%, means that the occupant is well protected from UV which causes skin Cancer, and also the film can last a long time as the UV Chemical protects the adhesive and film From degrading, (cheap film do not contain UV, so it cannot last a few months)
TSER : Total solar energy rejection 39%, means that the film can reject 39% of all the energy from the sun falling onto the glass. Please note that there are many other supplier claiming 94% Infra red etc and Infra-red is just 53% of solar energy and it cannot be measured by small equipment, so they know that consumer cannot be easily cheated.
The other category, I can recommend is PP60GNSRHPR and PP70AGSRHPR.
The PP60GN is green in color, VLT : 57%, VLR: 14%, UV r : 99%, TSER : 44%
The PP70Ag is silver in color, VLT : 70% VLR: 18%, UV r : 99%, TSER : 38%
The PP film stands for Ultra sputtered film, so it contain metal thus is slightly reflective.
Its Price is lower than AIR75 or AIR65 because the AIR Film uses a special chemical and it is very expensive.
The Price : AIR75SRHPR or AIR65GNSRHPR is Priced at USD1.86 PSF (USD930 / Roll)
PP70AGSRHPR or PP60GNSRHPR is Priced at USD1.05 PSF (USD525 / Roll)
The price is FOB, USA.
In Singapore, Malaysia or Thailand, customer prefer to put the very light film, that’s film with VLT 70% OR 60% AT THE Front windshield, and the sides and rear windshield uses a darker film to have better performance and privacy, I am not sure if that is allowed or fashionable in Vietnam.
- One aspect that you need to know, is that because automotive has curve on the front & rear windshield, heat shrinking to form and fit perfectly onto the surface need certain training and skill, so consumer trying to do it may find it difficult.
- I will probably visit Vietnam after your winter, and hope by then your company would be ready to install the film.
- After your film is purchased, as well as the tools needed, I would send my Technical manager to assist and hope that your installers can do a good job!"
