Ngược với Tears In Heaven (1992), bài thơ "Le Moribond"_ nghe nói được sáng tác dựa trên câu chuyện có thật của 1 tử tù Pháp (anh này đã xử 1 kẻ có hạn vì đã xxx vợ bạn)_ được phổ nhạc từ đầu '60, nhưng ca sĩ Terry Jacks đã giấu nhẹm tới tận 74 để phát hành... cho thành công rực rở (và hình như còn phi lợi nhuận nữa

Hai vị ca sĩ của 2 bài trên góp gạo thổi chung được 6-năm, từ 1969. Đến 1995, 2 cụ ấy (đều đã yên bề riêng) hợp lại làm ra tác phẩm này.

"...nhạc Jazz là sự pha trộn của nhạc blues và hòa âm trong nhạc cổ điển, sự trộn lẫn phức tạp trong tiết tấu của âm nhạc châu Phi và giai điệu theo lối hát ứng tác trong âm nhạc của người Ấn Độ. Những đặc điểm này được nhận thấy trong kiểu cách chơi nhạc Jazz của những nghệ sĩ người Mỹ..."

"...Âm nhạc là một khía cạnh quan trọng trong những hoạt động hàng ngày của thổ dân châu Phi. Thổ dân châu Phi rất coi trọng các hoạt động theo nhịp điệu khá phức tạp và tiến bộ dựa trên một ca từ và giai điệu đơn giản... Như vậy nghe nhạc Jazz cần có một gu và 'văn hóa cảm thụ nhạc' nhất định.
