Cái F16 nó nhẹ hều, cả vũ khí xăng cộ nó khoảng 12 tons, bằng 1/2 F22 (25 tons), tương tự với Su 30; hoặc nhỉnh hơn chút chỉ số đó với F 35, F/A 18 (20 tons) và T-50.
Về vũ khí, F 16 mang chưa tới 1/2 số lượng vũ khí lkhổng lồ mà mấy chiếc kể trên cõng trên lưng: F 22, Su 30, T 50 là 8 tons, F 35 là 7 tons. Bán kính hoạt động của F 16 dưới 1000km, nếu nó muốn bay hết tầm bay thiết kế phải cõng thêm bình xăng phụ thì vũ khí chỉ còn 1/3 so với những chiếc trên. Chưa kể độ hao nhiên liệu khi đốt lần hai khi bay với tốc độ siêu âm. Bay chế độ không chiến, F 16 tầm bay còn giảm nhiều nữa.
